Waterbeds Supplied by Better Waterbeds come with warranties for manufacturing defects on the mattress and heaters, usually for a period of 5 years. A copy of the terms for the replacement of these items is set out below. Better Waterbeds undertakes to simplify the procedure for the customer in the event of a defect by agreeing to replace faulty items on behalf of the manufacturer to speed up the process and minimise inconvenience.
Warranties for Mattresses
The waterbed mattress of Better Waterbeds has been manufactured using the highest quality materials and workmanship. It has been carefully inspected and found free of defects. All products have been made under a strict quality control system and accord with ISO quality standards.
Better Waterbeds warrants the waterbed mattress for years from against product failure resulting from materials or workmanship under the conditions set out below.
Better Waterbeds agrees to replace or repair any mattress that separates at the seams only, within the time period described in this warranty. Defects caused by fire, cutting or any mechanical, chemical or other means or agencies are excluded from this warranty. Better Waterbeds shall in no event be liable for consequential damages or contingent liabilities arising out of the failure of any product or its accessories to operate properly. This warranty excludes all other statutory or implied warranties upon which this mattress is sold. It is further said and understood and agreed that Better Waterbeds liability shall be limited to the agreement to repair or replace as aforesaid. All other damages whether proximate or not and warranties statutory, implied or otherwise, are hereby expressly waived by the Purchaser. The warranty is not transferable or assignable and applies only to the purchase of a new mattress by the original purchaser. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
Warranty Procedure Policy Remove bedding and unplug heater. Discover cause of leak and repair with a vinyl repair kit if it is a small puncture. Further advice on dealing with the problem can be obtained from Better Waterbeds, if necessary. If it appears that an exchange or replacement is required, mark the defect clearly for return to Better Waterbeds. Please note that the Warranty does not cover shipping and labour costs. When a replacement under warranty is acknowledged, the purchaser may return the faulty mattress and collect the replacement at the Sellers place of business. Alternatively Better Waterbeds will undertake to send out the replacement and arrange collection of a faulty mattress for the purchaser upon payment of an administrative fee of £20.
Warranties for Heaters
Waterbed heaters supplied by Better Waterbeds provide the customer with warranty against manufacturing defects with the same terms and conditions as set out for mattresses. Faulty products should be returned to Better Waterbeds and a replacement will be issued upon verification.
